In this single file there are labels such as G8 which indicates that the family is the eighth generation from the original Roger Woodley (G0). In addition all individuals are given a # number such as #4301 which uniquely identifies that individual and prevents confusion between say William the father, William the son and William a distant cousin.

The file also has hyperlinks, so that with most modern PDF viewers you can navigate around the file more easily.and remember that most PDF viewers allow a search of the file, and this is where the # numbers are particularly useful.

We are fully aware that this document is not scholarly. It lacks the necessary citations. It is simply an attempt to piece together the individual Woodley families into a coherent pattern. - quite enough work on its own. So please accept this is a ‘best endeavour’ rather than a definitive catalogue and no doubt there are errors and more work needed..
